Steam Flatpak: Cannot add second drive

Hello all,

I am trying to make a second drive visible to Steam so as to be able to install games to it.

I have mounted the drive and made the drive available by adding its mount point to the Steam flatpak via Flatseal. However, when I attempt to add a drive the dialogue closes and nothing appears to happen, checking the path shows that Steam created the steamapps folder but no libraryfolder.vdf file like it usually does.

Adding a non-steam game on this secondary drive appears to work as expected, it is only trying to create a new library folder that fails.

Has anyone else ran into this?

I am running Aurora 43.202511 and any help would be appreciated.

Edit: I had used Bluefin previously and adding the second drive worked as expected there.

After you added the permission, did you close and open steam again? Needed for the permissions to apply.

This is a very annoying issue with the flatpak version of steam since a few month : Steam Flatpak can't add a disk, it stays on "Add Drive" · Issue #1405 · flathub/com.valvesoftware.Steam · GitHub

Because of it, I only recommand bazzite to people that need to use Steam with mutliple drive.

Thanks for the reply, this appears to be the issue that is occuring. Will mark this as solved.
