Spotify does not start (Flatpak)

Hello,

some times Spotify dose not start.
I found the problem a few weeks ago online, when that happens you need to delete SingletonSocket, SingletonLock and SingletonCookie in $HOME/.var/app/com.spotify.Client/cache/spotify/
I did this the last few weeks manually at least 1 time peer week, more like every second day.

But it happens to often for my liking, so i made a small script:

#!/bin/bash
find $HOME/.var/app/com.spotify.Client/cache/spotify/ -name 'Singleton*' -delete

The script works great.
Now I placed it in Autostart, so I hopefully have no problems with Spotify anymore. (not testet yet)

Maybe it helps someone.

This is sweet, man, thank you. I’ve run into this issue a couple of times after an update, but I’ve usually been able to fix it by redownloading it

Wow. I have this issue both on my private laptop (Bluefin) and on my MacBook Air (work). I’m going to try your solution on both tomorrow! Thanks.

Wow! thank you very much! Had this problem yesterday with Discord and needed do kill and start it like 5 times to get it running. Today i had it with spotify and decided to google it. Worked perfectly on first try and it started in like 1 second!
I will try to make a shortcut which first deletes the files and than starts spotify.
And i will search for a similar fix for discord!

Thanks m8!
