Odd AMD driver update issue with ujust update

Hey everyone, I’m in a weird pickle and I could use some handholding; As the title suggests, my GPU mesa driver won’t update and it seems to be related to this vulkan/icd.d/broadcom_icd.x86_64.json;675a527a: being busy. however, I did find the PID of the process holding and killed it, and still nothing happened. So I’m confused… Any Ideas or helpful first steps?

I had a similar error today:

Upgrading mesa-vulkan-drivers-0:24.3.2-2.fc41.x86_64
[RPM] unpacking of archive failed on file /usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/broadcom_icd.x86_64.json;677cafa0: cpio: rename failed - Device or resource busy

This is on bazzite-nvidia:stable.

I tried rpm-ostree reset and rebooted, as seen referenced elsewhere, but the problem remains.

Did you ever get this resolved…?

Thanks,

Delete and re-create the offending distrobox
image

this was most likely made in order to support something you selected in the bazzite portal like scrcpy, oversteer, etc

unfortunetly the issue still persists. Does anyone have another solution?
