Big mouse on certain applications

Hi all,

Apologies if this has been asked, thought I do not seem to see anything on this. I’ve noticed that when I am interacting with the application “Planify”, the mouse will suddenly become enlarged. This seems to be case with almost all to-do list applications. Is there any reason that this is happening? I have checked if the mouse size was adjusting to dpi, and it is definitely set to stay at 24. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I believe this is a bug in Mutter and should be fixed at some point. Here’s another conversation about it:

Yes, this should get fixed once new Gnome release comes, so when Fedora 42 releases and we update to that.

Thanks everyone for the reply! I will wait with bated breath

I run “gsettings reset org.gnome.desktop.interface cursor-theme” as a login script and it fixes large mouse in ptyxis, etc with 2x scaling on kde. You can also run it in a terminal once as needed if you don’t want to set it at login.
