AMD + Nvidia hybrid graphics + Gamescope

Hi all, I just picked up a new (to me) laptop. The laptop in question has an 8845HS w/ 780m iGPU and a NVDA 3050 dGPU.

I installed the “Other Laptop + NVDA + Game Mode” version of Bazzite. The first time I launched into Game Mode everything worked as expected. But the next day I launch Game Mode and am greeted with a black screen. Black screen persists after reboot. Upon looking for another version to install, I find this message:

Some devices with two AMD GPUs (iGPU and dGPU) cause gamescope to be unable to detect your display resulting in a black screen. If you are affected, use an image without Steam Gaming Mode or disable your iGPU. See this issue for more information.

However if you select the Framework version you’re given this message:

Enjoy enhanced dGPU support on the Framework 16…Applications like Steam and Lutris are automatically configured to run on your dGPU for optimal performance…Be sure to select Steam Gaming Mode for the ultimate console-like gaming experience

Framework 16 has dual AMD GPUs, which seems to contradict the first message? Further, the link they provide in the first message links to multiple users with a Framework laptop, so I’m just wondering if the Framework-specific distribution includes some sort of fix for this issue that for some reason didn’t make it to the others? Or is this fixed in Framework’s hardware somehow?

Game Mode is a killer feature that I’d like to have…

Update: I have switched to Nobara, which doesn’t seem to have this problem.
