Why is my custom fan curve not working

Here’s how I do it：

  1. I installed bazzite following the instructions in a YouTube video
  2. I installed decky loader in desktop mode
  3. Then I installed the hhd decky plugin
  4. I set up a custom fan curve in HHD（TDP is also custom）

But when I played the game, the fan didn’t work as I set it, its speed was low, and even though the CPU temperature was gradually rising, it didn’t increase the speed，It’s like a constant speed. I had to turn off the custom fan or the CPU would overheat.

I don’t know why this is, does anyone know what else I need to install to make it work?

update your bios, it’s too old

I tried v29.1 and v32 and the latest version, v35, and it didn’t work

Hrmm, the bios update should have been the only thing you needed for the fan curves.

What are you using for to manage the fan curves? hhd?

I used HHD to adjust the fan, but it didn’t work

when I was installing the system, the ACPI bios error code appeared on the startup screen, I tried to skip it and then installed the system.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that I didn’t unplug the battery when I replaced the hard drive.
I searched some information, ACPI ERROR may be related to power management

hrmm, well if you’re only using hhd but it’s not working, that sounds like an hhd bug of some sort.

hhd-decky shouldn’t cause bugs in hhd, so it’s probably something else.
