Support for Ayaneo 3

Hello,

Will the management of the particularities of the Ayaneo 3 be integrated into Bazzite? Is that planned?
I am thinking in particular of the “Modular Controller” (Ejection, module recognition, etc.) ?

I’d like to know if I could install Bazzite on it when I get it.

Looking forward to have this device fully integrated.
From a recent conversation from the Discord chat:

Handheld Daemon:

  • TDP Controls seem to work great, incl the override in Gamescope QAM,
  • RGB Controls aren’t available,
  • No support/detection for fan curves. You can tune it, but only via 3rd party programs or Decky plugins like Fantastic,

System

  • Pretty much every temperature sensor barring the CPU and GPU package reports as 0°C. Risky as the fan curve won’t ramp if for example the SSD is under heavy load, without the CPU as high.,
  • Fan controls report as 0% speed, or are fully missing incl in Handheld Daemon,
  • Obviously no Ayaspace to eject the magic modules

Personally - Ayaneo module eyect is lower on the priority list - higher priority is fan curve profiles and temperature sensors. Thank you!

Hi! I’m really interested in this topic.

I asked the Ayaneo team on Discord and this was their response: “It’s an ask. not a current priority.
If the community makes something then maybe.”

Maybe we can collaborate to find a solution or build something to add support?

I agree with you, I’ll just stick to managing the temperature and fan to avoid damaging the machine.

But if we could also manage the magic modules, that would be perfect!
