Upgrading from a 64 GB SSD to a 1 TB SSD, will Bazzite OS run on the 1TB SSD?

Yup it should run fine. It only has issues on that specific 64GB eMMC that the Steam Deck came with. Once you upgrade it though it should be smooth sailing.

Sweet! Next question. Is it possible to upgrade from Steam OS to Bazzite OS without losing my data on my SSD?

Sadly no. You can back up the personal data in your Home directory on SteamOS and restore all of the personal files from that backup, but you will have to re-install software.

Installation process is a little tedious currently right now too, but during that process you can pre-install several applications (Decky Loader, EmuDeck, RetroDECK, etc.) during the foot-boot setup.
