Touchpad disabled while using keyboard

I am looking for settings that I can enable the touchpad while using the keyboard. Once I let go of a key the touchpad works. When I hold down the next key, the touchpad is again disabled.

In the settings for kde there is a touchpad section, but it is blank.

System Settings > Mouse & Touchpad > Touchpad and Uncheck “Disable while typing”

The window is blank… How can I fix this?

EDIT: work around is to use: kcmshell6 kcm_touchpad in the terminal. But Still not a complete fix.
