[Support] Library Stutter/Hangs after exiting games - Radeon 9060 XT / LG C9 OLED

Hey everyone,

I’m running into a persistent UI issue in Game Mode and I’m curious if anyone with a similar AMD/OLED setup has found a workaround.

The Problem

Every time I exit a game and return to my library in gamescope(gamemode), the interface becomes extremely laggy. When I try to scroll, the UI hangs/stutters for a split second before catching up, and hangs again, and catchs up, … . It feels like the interface is struggling to re-assert itself after the game process closes.

System Specs

  • GPU: Radeon 9060 XT (16GB)

  • CPU: Intel Core i14600

  • RAM: 16GB

  • Display: LG C9 OLED (Connected via DisplayPort to HDMI adapter)

  • Controller: Xbox Controller via Bluetooth

  • Bazzite Version: Latest Stable Build

Important Context

  • Display Setup: Since I’m using a DP-to-HDMI adapter to connect the LG C9, I’m wondering if this is a refresh rate switching/handshake delay occurring when Gamescope transitions from the game’s frame buffer back to the UI.

  • Controller: Using an Xbox controller over BT (I’ve heard rumors of BT polling causing stutters, but it only happens in the library).

  • UI: Im using two themes, one for round cards, and other to fullscreen image when i select a game.

  • OC: Im doing a OC and undervolt in lact.

What I’ve Tried

  • Verified “GPU accelerated rendering” is enabled in Steam settings.

  • Cleared Steam Web Browser cache.

  • Ran ujust update to ensure I’m on the latest stable bits.

Is there a specific Gamescope flag or an AMD-specific power profile I should be using for the 9060 XT? It almost feels like the GPU clocks are dropping too low the moment the game exits, leaving the UI to crawl.
