When I try to start steam it just fails. No info. It has worked for a couple of days and then it just stopped working. I could reinstall, but downloading 200G every other day gets kind of tiresome.
Anybody got an idea what to do?

Could you try running ujust fix-reset-steam first, and then reboot?
