Setting a Static IP, Mellanox ConnectX 3 40gbe

Hi all, new bazzite user. I am using a 40gbe mellanox connectx 3 card with a DAC to connect to my NAS. I have previously set up the mellanox card to use ethernet instead of infiniband, and the connection works with a static ip in windows. My trouble is that I can’t set a static IP for the mellanox card in Bazzite.

Under Network>wifi and internet I select my mellanox network adapter, then under IPv4 I select “manual”, add a new address, and start typing, but I can only add three numbers. When I try to add the decimal and finish the address the interface will not let me type further.

Is this a bug? Do I need drivers or to follow different steps? Thanks.

Can you try configuring it from the terminal using nmcli?

I was eventually able to get the mellanox adapter to set a static IP, it took a couple system restarts and the bug cleared. Don’t know what it was but the restarts resolved it. Now I’m just working on getting an FSTAB configured to auto mount the volume.
