In Mint, I can use the Keyboard Shortcuts app to run my .sh files by inputting the keyboard shortcut keys in one window, and then in the other window you could choose which script to run from your ssd. Click save and you’re done. EZPZ and works great.
I can’t seem to figure out how to do that in Bazzite. Anyone know?
Also, why doesn’t holding the Alt key down when dragging move the window like Linux always does? I miss that.
I figured it out!
For anyone interested, here’s how to run your bash scripts in Bazzite…
Click on the App Launcher (the bottom left icon on the taskbar) and search for Shortcuts
Hit Enter and the settings window will open and be in the Keyboard Shortcuts section already for you.
On the top right of that window, click on +Add New and select Command or Script…
A new window will pop up with a blinking cursor in the Command window. Either type in the path or click Choose and select your .sh file from your disk. (Make sure the .sh file has been made executable of course.)
On the left side of the first window that you opened, you will now see your script file showing under the Commands header. Left click once on your file there, and on the right side of the window click +Add… and the +Add… text will change to +Input… at which point you type in your desired keyboard shortcut that you want to run your script.
Click Apply on the bottom.
That’s it. Works good so far for me anyway…
Now I can one-click skip commercials again.
I will post my ad skipping script info if anyone is interested… It just hits the right arrow key for you a select number of times, skipping all the ads. I have it set to where I can tell it how many times to skip, etc, for each show…
And also I have a script that will toggle through your audio sinks if anyone is interested.
I’m no expert, but I learned just enough to get it done and left myself lots of comments.
