Remapping keys, how do you do it?

Hi there! I’m on Aurora and I wonder how do people remap keys. For some reason I can’t remap Ctrl to CAPS LOCK and Compose to Ctrl in Aurora using the built in Plasma Key Bindings.

When I set it it works in some cases and some not. In input fields these shortcuts do not work at all.

I got recommended GitHub - rvaiya/keyd: A key remapping daemon for linux., but I assume that would have to be installed by layering? Thoughts?

You could try ydotool. It’s included with bazzite so I’m assuming it’s on Aurora also.

If you need something with a GUI Input-Remapper is awesome and I use it daily. Not sure if Aurora includes it, Bazzite does.

Thanks. I should have added I need to use X11, so that won’t work.
