Question regarding VRR

Hi all,

Noob question;

How can one tell if VRR is working on the ROG Ally? There’s a toggle in the quick settings but I don’t think it’s doing anything.

Is there a way to force it on / off?

Many thanks in advance!

Made an account just to bump this. I’m playing Ghost of Tsushima and bazzite feels noticeably less smooth than windows. Toggling VRR on off appears to do nothing. I’ve seen forum posts from 2 months ago saying VRR is broken but nothing more recent. Bazzite on Ally is pointless without VRR imo.

VRR definitely doesn’t work on bazzite.

I went back to windows after using it for 1.5 months and while frame times appear more stable on bazzite, the game feels a lot smoother on windows. Frame rates are roughly the same ±10%.

It’s a pity because the device is definitely more usable as a console on bazzite, but there are still bugs and more work needed. Kudos to all the devs though, I know they’re trying their best in their free time.

Yes I found VRR to not work. It’s a stutter mess with it on and bazzite is unusable without this feature working. Please fix! Bazzite is amazing!

Out of curiosity when is that?

Should have been today. When was the last time you updated?

I downloaded it thank you and it seems to be working now. Although the fps limiter with vrr on isn’t working correctly. Doesn’t lock to set value. Hovers above
