Pro Switch Controller Connection Issues

I’ve recently started using Bazzite-Deck on my mini PC and it’s been great! Firstly, thanks to the devs for building this OS, it’s a real game changer.

The Issue
All my other controllers work fine (Xbox One Controllers, PS4 Controllers), however my Switch Pro controller seems to be having a weird issue, where it seems to intermittently disconnect or at least become unresponsive. I don’t really know what the problem is. Any known bugs or fixes out there?

I use Bazzite-Gnome version and it was like pulling teeth to get my pro controller to work. What I did was:

  1. Connect Pro controller using bluetooth settings.
  2. Wait a couple minutes to make sure it stayed connected.
  3. Reboot
  4. After reboot push Home button on my Pro controller.
  5. Open Steam.

I fought with it for a couple hours trying various things. The steps I listed is what got it working.
