Performance dies on any version after 42.20250621

As the title says, every update in the last month is breaking something that makes the whole laptop unusable, even scrolling on the browser is hard. Resources look normal on btop and the Nvidia driver is the same version as before. The only program that gives me an actual error and crashes is Minecraft, which complains about something related to GLFW.

Of course, results about this are not helping much, otherwise I wouldn’t be here. Any ideas on how could I troubleshoot this?

This is an Asus laptop with AMD and a Nvidia GPU, and it works perfectly in previous versions of Bazzite. I’m on the bazzite-asus-nvidia-open:stable branch.

Edit: I know this is too vague but this is literally all I know. I thought it was a bad update so I pinned the working one, but now I’ve seen my brother’s updated laptop working fine and the system is complaining about being a month without updating.

Do you have any programs layered? what does

“sudo bootc status” return

Nope, I try to avoid doing that

Make sure your flatpaks are up to date. There’s a Nvidia driver in flatpak as well and it must match the host.

oh I kind of fixed it earlier today by rebasing to the closed drivers branch. Flatpaks are up to date and I’m pretty sure they were before too.

I’ll mark the topic as solved, but it’s weird I didn’t even find out what was the exact issue.
