Down loaded Bazzite and installed via usb . Had newer mesa driver. Still on 25.2.6.
That’s correct. Currently Bazzite is on Mesa 25.2.6. There may be newer versions but Bazzite does not immediately upgrade everything. In fact we haven’t had an update in almost 3 weeks. They’ll probably start pushing updates after new year’s.

Mistake on my end. I checked LACT to see Mesa version, which showed 25.2.6.
Today we had a Bazzite update which also updated Mesa version, but LACT still shows it as 25.2.6 so I think LACT is not reliable. So I used the following command
glxinfo | grep "OpenGL version"
You can also use the following command:
vulkaninfo --summary
Which indeed shows Mesa 25.3.1 as it should. Can you please check and confirm?
