MSI Claw A1M - Left quick access/system button not working after update to Bazzite 44 (InputPlumber regression)

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with the left front quick access/system button on my MSI Claw A1M after updating to Bazzite 44. The button worked completely fine on Bazzite 43 under HHD, but stopped responding entirely after the transition to InputPlumber.

Device details:

Device: MSI Claw A1M

OS: Bazzite 44

Important Note:

This issue does NOT exist on Bazzite 43 — everything works completely fine on the older version with HHD.

What I have already tried:

OpenGamepadUI / Controller settings: Changed target gamepad type to DualSense Edge and Steam Deck, but the button remains unresponsive.

InputPlumber Ignorelist: Ran ujust generate-inputplumber-ignorelist (sudo /usr/libexec/bazzite-inputplumber-ignorelist) to ignore the composite device, but it did not fix the issue.

InputPlumber config modification: Edited /etc/inputplumber/devices/50-msi_claw_a1m.yaml to set auto_manage: false for “MSI WMI hotkeys”, but input is still not captured.

Input testing (evtest): Checked for inputs via sudo evtest. The button shows no event output at all under current configuration.

Steam Input remapping: I also tried remapping the bottom right button in Steam, but pressing it triggers two commands simultaneously instead of one.

It seems like a regression related to how InputPlumber handles MSI WMI hotkeys / event inputs compared to the old HHD implementation. Is there a known fix or workaround for this without rolling back?

Thanks for any help!
