Firstly, I should say this is likely a KDE issue. However, I feel I should still mention it, since I have not found a solution that works for my problem on an immutable distribution.
There has existed the old bug of the cursor changing back to the default X11 one (Adwaita) inside certain apps (mainly Flatpaks), and while that has affected me, there is a more noticable issue.
Whenever I restart my computer/log out and log back in, the cursor changes back without me asking it to. However; when going into the ‘Cursors’ section in the system settings, the highlighted choice (Bibata, in my case) has not changed. It still appears to be set to Bibata, although what I see on my desktop/apps is quite clearly the Adwaita cursor. Changing it to another and back seems to fix the issue temporarily, that is until the next restart.
I’ve tried looking up solutions to this online, and the main ones I found (unless I’m missing something, which is probable) was to either keep restarting (which I did) or to go into /usr/share/icons/default/index.theme and change the default from Adwaita to your desired theme (which I tried; however, I cannot edit this file due to it being read-only. And yes, I tried opening/editing it as admin).
Maybe this could be a ujust command to change the default across everywhere? I’m lost here. Any help would be much appreciated!
