Ok, so I tried Aurora installation in multiple ways including VirtualBox and raw metal and there seems to be an issue with the current ISO.
It fails to launch firefox (as I found by trying to launch command line liveinst) due to an incorrect path and abends.
I have previously used Aurora and rather liked it (evaluation at least), but umm this shows a significant lack of testing before release, which is not really a great thing :0
We have new ISOs, that are in the announcement and also in the website already.
I have personally tested these new images (the filename has -webui in the name) in 3 different bare metal installs and atleast 3 VM installs.
We know that fosstorrents ISOs are currently broken, they will be fixed later today.
I don’t exactly remember where I downloaded this iso but it was in the last 24 hours. I’ll download a new copy and continue testing.
Edit: Yes defn a different ISO today!
The broken ISOs were on the site for a while, as it get updated automaticly once they are build and we didn’t realise that upstream did some changes.
But anyway, the new ISOs should definately work (propably now jinxed it saying this)
Yep, all better. Thanks!
