Hello everyone! I just finished internationalizing the Project Bluefin Website and added a translation to Brazilian Portuguese! This is a rather big acomplishment since now it can be translated to other languages too! It should be rather easy, check out the Contributing section on the website’s README if you wanna add support for your languages too!
We should consider that the language chooser should be ISO code or the name of the language, and the name of the language should be English or same as the language
Fedora is using: Same language of the language name
Great work!
Sorry, I can’t seem to find the Contributing section on the linked README page, all I could find was this Contributing guide. Am I looking in the wrong place?
I could try my hand at translating in French if you’d like. As @Devoras said, where should we go to do so?
PR for README haven’t merged
It was just getting merged at the time LOL im sorry for the confusion
You should be able to add support to french just by following (the now merged) Contributing section and creating a file called fr-FR.json
on the src/locales/
directory (then just follow the en-US file and it should be good to go!) - the language selection should be handled by default w/o any intervention
Fair! I just put those names in because they are slightly easier to put into the code + they fit on the lang selector on a small screen
Sorry for my inexperience with GitHub. I don’t have permission to add the corresponding file in src/locales/
directory - mine would be de-DE.json
. Therefore I haven’t modified schema.ts
yet.
Youd need to fork the repo, modify those files locally, then create a pull request. We are thinking about having Weblate support to make this process easier too, so soon its gonna be better haha
Thank you so much for your patience and help.
Hello, is Bluefin considered a female? I’m asking because of the translations
