Hi.
My laptop has only one single SSD, I have installed Windows 11 and would like to install Bazzite (specifically bazzite-deck image) on the same drive.
While following the guide Dual Boot Preliminary and Post-Installation Setup Guide - Bazzite Documentation to create partitions, when enabling luks for the btrfs partition, there would be an error message
AttributeError: Failed to add the device:'DeviceFormat' object has no attribute '_header_size'
The whole installation is considered crashed at this point. The only options are report bug button or Quit button (which shut down the whole thing).

But I’m still getting this error in the latest bazzite-deck image (Downloaded in Jul.17.2025). Wondering what should I do to resolve this?
Found a old bazzite-deck image on Internet Archive and tried the same steps on the same hardware, then confirmed luks partition can be created there, so I think it’s a software bug.

Not really a solution but a workaround:
create a encrypted LVM Volume
Inside there a volume group
Inside the volume group a btrfs volume without mount point
Inside the btrfs volume than sub volumes (/, /var and if not on another drive /var/home)
This bug is in anaconda and will effect you also with de Fedora KDE spin
