Fixed no signal problem related to display port switched to hdmi connection, adaptive sync set to never also a fix

So, I am now back using bazzite deck NVidia image, the gigabyte M28U monitor had a problem with the display port, also I did the firmware update to the monitor, but now I had switch it to hdmi port with cable, if I put pc into sleep mode, and wake it up again, its getting the display working with no problems, I installed edge again on bazzite, since I use it also with windows 11 on my other pc, right now I got both pc’s using the hdmi connection, maybe something is wrong with that cable or its something else wrong with the normal nvidia drivers that don’t work correctly with display port.

I also noticed that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Lite Hash Rate [Discrete]
which is the gigabyte RTX 3070 master 3D card, the controllers menu in
left side screen for say switching to desktop mode is no longer getting all messed up, I noticed its was not a problem report in the beta nvidia drivers information, it might be related to display port only has some problems that are not in the hdmi signal for same hardware, not sure why, so far everthing is working just fine at this time, but for one little problem,

I used the ujust update command and it worked on the second attempt updating Bazzite. it got a failure update message the other day but try to update second successful. I Wi-Fi card and also have a USB-based Wi-Fi device at home along with my own in my room for connecting to the web, in addition to the one by the internet provider. For some reason, this only happens Linux and my older desktop, where the connection bars to the main router at home show bar quality. Although my newer desktop hardware does not have the same low bar signal problem. if you use alt-i to edit text in the edge browser, for some reason, the here is another way of writing this will mess up, and edit out the ujust update command line, its only helpful when it doesn’t make mistakes.

Additionally, I encountered an issue with the rpm-ostree installation of DOSBox, which failed. However, using Flatpak (flathub) to install the DOSBox Staging app was successful, though it’s a minor concern. I have not yet reinstalled Bazzite on my laptop yet, but it does have a better web connection signal compared to my older Gigabyte desktop’s Wi-Fi hardware.

I installed the Microsoft Edge browser on Linux using rpm-ostree install microsoft-edge-stable-134.0.3124.51-1.x86_64.rpm. However, the Alt-I AI generate editor is now making numerous errors under Linux, such as missing words or incorrect edits. I am uncertain this issue is prevalent on Windows 11 well, but it seems to be problematic on Linux. with longer writing maybe using it in shorter text works better, not sure the cause.

does anyone know if the new Microsoft edge VPN in the side menu under Linux is working correctly in edge browser, I know it’s a new feature, and I really don’t have much need for using it, but I was wondering if it works correctly or not under Linux? never mind it seems to be missing from this build or linux doesn’t include it, as I do not see the VPN settings under browser essentials at all. I think that build is the newest version for linux.

also trying screen capture rectangular region doesn’t work gets black screen, same problem as emudeck when installed with ujust install-emudeck it defaults to a full screen mode, which in steam deck mode works fine, but under the plasma kde desktop it gets a black screen where you have to hit f11 in order to change it to non- full screen during the install, it seems to happen with this 3D card and monitor, as its not a problem with the non-deck nvidia images of bazzite, the desktop versions don’t have that problem, not sure what the cause is if its a wayland bug or something else since again full screen works fine in steam deck mode, but not desktop. also, when I tried that sort of screen capture with print screen key on keyboard and using that one setting doing a windows key gets desktop back, but then the text got all messed up. maybe I should create a bug report on that if I learn more about what causes it if that helps or not.

ok, the black screen problem seems to be related to adaptive sync, when I set it to never it fixed the problem, now the rectangular region screen capture works correctly, I think that might be the fix for the emudeck too, for some reason, when it sets to automatic then the monitor, the gigabyte M28u doesn’t like it, as it gets a black screen problem, that you can get desktop back to windows key on keyboard, but anyway, I think my monitor or 3D card doesn’t like adaptive sync feature in plasma kde for the nvidia deck images of bazzite.

the hdr feature seems like it works, I guess, I have not tried that in video games yet under linux, but its can be enable in desktop mode at least.
