Nvidia HDMI output help

Using Bazzite on desktop PC with AMD 7000H (laptop variant) and RTX 4060. The Nvidia card has multiple outputs, including 2 HDMI outputs.

  • When I use the HDMI out from the NVidia card, I max out at 4k 30hz
  • However, when i use the motherboard’s HDMI out, I can get 4k 60hz (also using nvidia graphics).

Why is this the case? The fact that I get 4k 60hz on the mobo’s HDMI suggests that the TV input and the cable are not the issues. Sounds like a Driver or firmware issue? I’m almost curios if since its a laptop chipset, the Driver is pre-configured for the mobo’s HDMI out.

Was curious if this is a known issue or if there is a workaround.

Ended up being an Input setting on the TV. After reading Nvidia forums, identified it was related to color/display sampling. After enabling “Full UHD Color” on the particular input, i was able to get 60hz refresh rate.
