First attempt to install to desktop, error during installation of grub, bios incompatible

I installed bluefin OS on my personal laptop and I quite liked, decided to install it on my work desktop as well (where I had Fedora 41 previously). Installation was going fine until near the end it failed with an error failed to run /usr/sbin/grub2-install --target i386pc because the BIOS was incompatible.

I did check the ASUS website (motherboard is PRIME B450-K) and there are updates for my BIOS I haven’t installed, so I am going to try that next but would appreciate any additional advice. It is mentioned on the installation guide that you should install the most recent BIOS before attempting, but I got ahead of myself because I got zero issues on the laptop (which is from 2022 and it has the most recent BIOS update).

Which iso did you try? If you tried with one of the Live isos, those don’t support BIOS mode, only UEFI.

So you could check also your BIOS and change it to use only UEFI.
