I have the shortcut linked in a panel in desktop mode and always have to click it twice for firefox to actually link. Same with opening it from the application dashboard
I have the same problem here… KDE/Nvidia/open
It doesn’t happen every time for me, but occasionally the librewolf flatpak (fork of firefox) needs to be clicked / launched multiple times for it to open.
Have you tried starting it from terminal:
flatpak run org.mozilla.firefox
maybe some error is displayed that would help diagnosing a problem.
Firefox starts every time I click on icon in my case.
Great idea! Here’s what I got (inputting the same command a second time opened FF fine)
Warning: ConnectToCompositor() try again : Resource temporarily unavailable
Warning: ConnectToCompositor() try again : Resource temporarily unavailable
Error: ConnectToCompositor() connect() failed repeatedly : Resource temporarily unavailable
Error: ProxiedConnection::Process(): Failed to connect to compositor
: Resource temporarily unavailable
Error: we don’t have any display, WAYLAND_DISPLAY=‘wayland-0’ DISPLAY=‘(null)’
Seems like if in flatseal I disable wayland it’s launching normally now
@sinephase, this is not Bazzite specific issue.
This is a bug already reported on upstream Mozilla Firefox bug tracker as being Firefox flatpak issue.
