I was playing around with Fedora and I had set up my snapshots/subvolumes to create regular ones for /root and /home (and excluded a few folders like /var/tmp /var/log etc.).
That process gave me an appreciation for rpm-ostree being much simpler for the end user ![]()
Anyway, I have now set up my snapshots for my /home subvolume in Bazzite, now that I understand how they work.
In Fedora, I had also set up grub-btrfs, but I don’t know if it is possible to do it in Bazzite as I would need to use dnf to install it (I suppose I could make a custom image). But I am wondering if it is necessary given that we already get one snapshot we can roll back to, and then if needed the home snapshot can be reached once logged in from the DE rather than from Grub.
But as usual with me not quite getting things 100% right given that two months ago I knew nothing about Linux, I was wondering what the best course of action would be.
Any input would be appreciated. Thank you!
