Adding Bangla Avro Keyboard

Hi,

I type in Bangla and the best keyboard for it is the Avro keyboard. I can’t find it in the keyboard selection and since the distribution is immutable I can’t install it through their provided script.

Is this something I should be requesting directly upstream to Fedora?

Additionally how would I add my own keyboard configuration if I wanted to create a custom one? Seeing as /usr/ is read only what would be the override path for /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols? Would it be /.local/share/X11/xkb/symbols?

Hey, I am also trying to figure this out. This is with regards to Bazzite, but there, ydotools and is pre-installed and sounds like a good option. Otherwise, also GitHub - sezanzeb/input-remapper: 🎮 ⌨ An easy to use tool to change the behaviour of your input devices. sounds like an option, but I think ydotools is probably more light-weight. Let me know if you still need help with this, I can help you out once I have figured it out myself!

I also wanted to use avro keyboard but had no success. I switched to Bangla probhat for a long time now and find it more efficient to use since it can be found in any operating system.
