A patreon or some way to support this project financially

Does this project (Bazzite in particular) ever plan to have a patreon of some form? I am interested in paying a little to keep the project afloat.

ended up moving this to bazzite since this is more about bazzite

I’m sorry but I can’t find a way to donate

You can click the “sponsor” text next to the person’s name to donate via github.

@j0rge Respectfully, I think having the dedicated donation page on the Bazzite, Aurora, and Bluefin websites incorporate integration for Paypal, Square, Patreon, KO-FI, etc. with big buttons for each option would increase donations.

People are more likely to donate when they know they are supporting the project at large rather than to individual contributors.

People are more likely to donate if a variety of familiar options are given, and may do so easily without account creation for one time donations.

Please also keep in mind that many people still see Github as a coding/project platform not as a donation or sponsor platform.

Go for it!

There’s nothing to donate to, only the individual contributors.

That’s up to the people who put themselves on these pages.

I ended up sponsoring via github to @kylegospo to provide $$$ for the upkeep of Bazzite

it was a little tricky figuring out how to do the sponsoring (I also ended up purchasing a burner card at my local store) to avoid putting real card info on github but I did it though, $10 a month

The Bazzite website now sends people there to sponsor, hopefully that’s clear to most who land there!

It’s true that GitHub can take some getting used to though.

yeah and I figured it out, I ended up sponsoring @kylegospo so Kyle can get paid for maintaining Bazzite.
