Thanks for this. Tried Neo, QWERTZ in Bluefin and when typing (level 1) I get letters as expected.
I figured it out. Posting this here for posterity. It’s actually explained in the Linux FAQ.
Just pressing M4L and M4R together fixes it. I don’t know why this happens sometimes with certain distros but pressing those buttons fixes everything. Sorry for wasting everybody’s time, lol. I was just convinced it was some difference between the distros because it wasn’t consistently an issue depending on the distro.
