I get this weird horizontal flickering and I’m trying to figure out how to get rid of it. See attached video, it’s fast but it occurs across the whole monitor. Strangely, it appears to go away after I hibernate the system and re-log in. Obviously that’s not good to do every boot, but I was hoping there was a way to debug it further. Let me know what other info I can provide:
I have a DELL G3223Q monitor, 7900xtx connected via a DP cable.
Attached is also a screenshot of the settings. In windows 11, the equivalent setup works without this issue.
I had the same issue at the start, which I initially figured out was being caused by my “color profile” setting. Defaulting that setting fixed the issue.
From what I see you have changed quite a bit settings, try defaulting everything just to test if that fixes it.
I will try that. Still weird to me that sleeping and coming back seems to fix it, which I think indicates it could be a bug with the gpu power state or something
Log out and back in used to temporarily fix it for me as well. To this day I don’t know what causes it, but setting color profile and color accuracy settings to default setting fixed the issue for me.
Here’s the post I created here a few months ago about the same issue if you are interested. I even mentioned it being briefly fixed after coming out of sleep
Nope, as it says in the reply marked as solution, it was the color profile setting. Ever since then I left all settings at default and never had any problem whatsoever. Still on multi monitor setup and everything is working perfectly fine.
