Way to set it to load into desktop mode first, not big picture

AFAIK, non deck/htpc versions of Bazzite boot into desktop mode by default. If you are already running deck version, then I believe there is a hidden ujust recipe just for that:

ujust _toggle-autologin

I’m not 100% sure about this and if this recipe is safe or not so maybe someone else can confirm.

Boot into kde session instead of gamescope session on deck?

Wondering if there is a way to boot into the kde session on the bazzite deck kde installation instead of booting to the gamescope session first? I want to use my deck mainly as a sort of tablet and then boot into the gamescope session for gaming. It’s not the biggest deal if it’s not possible, was just hoping it was.

Oh I see what I did, when choosing the game scope option it installs the deck version I guess. I appreciate the help, it’s working fine now, no issues

Maybe you know, but I executed that command and it works great, loads right into desktop environment. Problem now, is the “return to gaming mode” fails and sends me right back to desktop now lol. Is there a way to undo that ujust command?

Well… you can run it again. It will then restore the original behavior. That’s why it’s called a “toggle”. But as noted in a linked comment, it may break things even further.
