I have the option to login into x11 but it dosnt launch to desktop but simply logs out to the sddm screen within seconds?
any idea to why or fixes please?

Yes this is true. Would installing the old x11 desktop session work perhaps?
Not sure how to go about it in immutable platform as such… ostree install or ?
rpm-ostree install blah will do it but they’re removing the session entirely pretty soon so it’s got a few weeks until it’s gone.
