Has anybody tried making a screen video using spectacle on KDE? It works with screenshots, but the resulting video files are only a couple hundred bytes. Trying to see if anybody else is having this problem. I’ve used spectacle on Debian before and never had a problem.
Just tested. Started a recording for a few moments and the end result was 1,5meg file
You could try to launch it from a terminal and then check the logs what it does when your recording ends.

You are not on nvidia are you? I just read there are issues with nvidia and wayland.

yea, looks like an Nvidia problem with plasma 6.5. There is another app in the store called “GPU Screen Recorder” which works well. Evidently which drivers and libraries are used is very finicky.
Oh well. Just so long as I can do screen capture

I used to have no issue with this, and then it suddenly started being an issue after a video driver update
Also Nvidia.
