Screen sharing with Google Meet in Aurora

Hi all, I’m running Aurora (aurora-dx-nvidia) and having trouble getting screen sharing to work in Google Meet. I’ve tried with Firefox (Flatpak), Ungoogled Chromium (Flatpak, non-Flatpak local install), and Google Chrome (Flatpak) and none of them can see anything outside of the browser. I’ve played with lots of different settings in Flatpak, I’ve scoured the web for any hints, and also read these ublue posts:

Finally I’m posting here to see if anyone else is having trouble with this. I’m running the latest aurora-dx-nvidia from yesterday. Ok, technically I’m running a customized version that I created yesterday with BlueBuild, but all I’ve done there is add a few packages. I didn’t try screen sharing before switching to my custom build yesterday, so I can’t really rule that out.

Anyway, here are the errors I’m seeing in the logs:

[257181:257181:0414/113301.067576:ERROR:screen_capture_portal_interface.cc(48)] Failed to request session: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: No such interface “org.freedesktop.portal.ScreenCast” on object at path /org/freedesktop/portal/desktop
[257181:257181:0414/113301.067607:ERROR:base_capturer_pipewire.cc(81)] ScreenCastPortal failed: 3

Any pointers on what to look for would be greatly appreciated.

After all that I ran a ujust update, rebooted, and it works perfectly in Firefox now without having changed anything. My build did get updated since last night, but only to fix my Bitwarden installation to integrate with system authentication.

I guess the source of the problem will remain a mystery, but at least it’s working now.
