Solution for autorotation not working in some 2-in-1 laptops

Hey guys, this is my first post on this forum, I just wanted to put this out there for anyone who encounters this problem in the future. I have Bazzite with Gnome dual installed with Windows on an HP Specre 2-in-1 laptop, and until recently, the autorotation was working out of the box on install. However, one day about 2 months ago it stopped working randomly.

The pre-installed iio-sensor-proxy and monitor-sensor tools were detecting monitor changes correctly, but the display itself wouldn’t change orientation. However, I fixed this bandaid-style by installing the Screen Rotate Gnome extension by shyzus. I’ll leave it up to any potential mods who read this if they want to further troubleshoot why it stopped working on default. Cheers y’all!

I think it’s this one:

I think you’re right! This really stinks because I used to use Bazzite to play ds games in portrait mode and was just about to start reading books on it. Guess I’ll have to just get used to manually switching up the orientation
