Since asusctl is not needed anymore i want to uninstall it but I can't

the title says it all basically I just want to delete it because i feel like it’s conflicting with my settings every time i suspend and resume, however I can’t uninstall it no matter what

using sudo make uninstall form the readme of the project on gitlab gives me a permission error, and I can’t change the permissions because I don’t have ownership of the file, and I can’t have ownership since I can’t login as a root to change the owner (couldn’t figure out how my password didn’t work)

can you please help?

here is the error:

 sudo make uninstall
rm -f "/usr/bin/rog-control-center"
rm: cannot remove '/usr/bin/rog-control-center': Read-only file system
make: *** [Makefile:84: uninstall] Error 1

Yeah it doesn’t work that way.

It would need to be removed from the image itself

Is this for an ASUS ROG Ally? You can rebase to a -deck image in that case.
