Self hosters, the forge needs your eyes and hands!

Stephan Lüscher has been quietly plugging away on the Forge, with would be a self hosted setup for your own custom images.

Check out the issues below to get the info:

Also would love to have more people jump in and help out!

Thanks @j0rge for announcing this. The UI changes are now merged into the main branch and I added documentation as much as currently possible. If you fancy this project any help is appreciated. Be it with testing, documenting, enhancing or filing issues and feature requests.

This is so awesome. One more incentive to get my homelab moved to a colo.

Ok bumping this since it’s been a while, hopefully we’ve attracted some homelabbers by now who want to run all this stuff in their house.

Yeah, I’m still trying to figure out on how to create a bootable qcow2 image from the bluefin image: Playbook to deploy test VM · Issue #35 · ublue-os/forge · GitHub

This will allow for a one click deployment in a VM. Haven’t tried with the 41 relase, maybe it’s working now…

@m2Giles has been working on local dev in bluefin, maybe there’s something we can share from the justfile work?

We have bootc on the image too, I haven’t looked closely to spitting out something for a test VM though.
