Are the base images going to be a valid install options going forward?

Firstly, thanks to everyone for their hard work on ublue. It’s been rock solid through my Bioinformatics MSc so far.

I’ll be honest I’m looking at Aurora, Bazzite and Bluefin & thinking these have lots of stuff I don’t need or want. At the risk of being boring, I’m totally happy with the base “enriched” silverblue image.

What’s the long term plan for folk who don’t want the extras? Can we just happily chug along on silverblue-main or should we be looking at moving to regular silverblue?

We depend on those to build everything else so they will always be maintained.

We don’t recommend them to users because they don’t really get new QoL features or extra hardware enablement, etc. They’re designed to be mostly stock. But if you already know how to Linux and know what you want they work great.
