Rollback to F40 from asus-latest

Hi,

I’m on the asus-dx-nvidia-latest image and am therefore on F41.

I’m working with an application that requires X11, so I used rpm-ostree install gnome-session-xsession but I get stuck in a login loop when attempting to use the X11 session.

I then tried to rebase before the update to F41 but the ujust rebase-helper only goes back to the F41 upgrade date.

While I would appreciate help with the actual X11 problem if someone happens to know the solution, I’m more interested in knowing if there’s some way to roll back further, which could be useful in other contexts as well.

Thanks for the help!

Choose gts in the rebase helper to go back to 40:

Can you when on a laptop specific image? Getting this:

Ah nuts. It might be worth trying to rebase to a stock image, which may or may not work better depending on your hardware (surface or asus?)

rpm-ostree rebase ostree-image-signed:docker://ghcr.io/ublue-os/bluefin-dx-nvidia:gts

Asus

I’ll give it a shot
