I am a new user of Bazzite and I also have an NVidia graphic card. So with KDE Plasma 4.6 installed I thought I give a report of my game testing as of this time:
Gaming: Platform - Steam Compat Layer - GE Proton 10.5
Civilization IV runs but flashes between the game screen and a black screen under Wayland
Galactic Civ IV runs without issues
Sengoku Dynasty runs without issues but get laggy after a while. The behavior is like being unable to load all textures into the video VRAM.
Metro Last Light Redux Not tested yet
Civilization V runs better than Civ IV but crashed after
Elder Scrolls V no patches - Special Edition - Anniversary – no issues
IO tried a mix of modern and older games to see if there was a difference. I usually played for 30 minutes and began a new game each time. My prior gaming platform was Linux Mint.
