"Reboot and select proper boot device" error

Hello,

I installed Bazzite last weekend from Fedora, which a brief search showed that may be relevant to the error but searching here I didn’t find this specific problem.

When I installed Bazzite, I let the installer delete everything and reformat my drive. I suspended it last night and for some reason it shut down. On reboot, I got an error that says “Reboot and select proper boot device” or “Insert boot media and press any key to continue”

I am able to boot from the boot selection menu, but if I have to do that every time obviously that’s an inconvenience and I do not think it’s intended to operate this way as it’s the only Linux install I’ve done that has that problem. I am by no means a knowledgeable user, but have used Fedora Workstation for a year now and dabbled with other distros on and off prior to Bazzite.

What do I need to configure and how do I do that to make sure it does boot properly without having to select the image from the selection menu?
