Problems installing Wine

I have Bazzite 42 installed on Framework Laptop 13 (AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 w/ Radeon 890M). I would like to run a few non-gaming Windows programs that aren’t available for Linux. I am unable to install Wine using the flatpack for Wine in Bazaar. Has anyone else had problems installing Wine? I see a complicated terminal install script for Fedora on the Wine website, but I would prefer to use the flatpack. I am a new user to Linux.

You are aware that the WineZGUI is preinstalled? Refer to the documentation for more details.

Thanks. For some reason, WineZGUI was not preinstalled. It installed it using a flatpack from Bazaar and it works well. The Windows version of GoodSync is works in Bazzite. I was able to sync files between my Synology NAS and my Framework 13 Bazzite laptop. The Z-Automotive update app did not work, so I guess I’ll be keeping my old Windows laptop for those programs I can’t get to work using WineZGUI.

When I was testing Bazzite in VM I recall WineZGui being preinstalled but with the late July ISO I downloaded to install bare metal it wasn’t. I don’t know if it was removed by mistake or intentionally. Regardless, as a suggestion, I installed Bottles to manage my non-game windows apps. You can do the same in Lutris but I just like how Bottles works to manage runners and prefixes.

Thanks

Bottles works well too. It has a nicer UI.
