Hi there.
I have an old Dell Latitude 7200 (a 2-in-1 PC with a detachable keyboard and touchscreen) that has Fedora Plasma Mobile spin that is running good (touchscreen, cameras, keyboard, etc.), but I was wondering if I could have an “atomic” OS instead like Aurora.
Can we install the Plasma Mobile interface somehow, or is it very not-recommended?
Not sure if anyone has done this for Aurora, but here is one for Bazzite: Package plasma-mobile-bazzite · GitHub
Also, you can roll your own image: GitHub - ublue-os/image-template: Build your own custom Universal Blue Image!
I’m looking to do this, Plasma-Mobile is one that I will be doing, I like to have both environments installed, you can can choose which one you want when you login.
I tried to create my own custom images in the past, but I must admit that, for the first time in my life, I understood almost nothing.
Perhaps I can try with ostree and see which correct metapackage enables Plasma Mobile
I think you will find Ublue easier to roll your own with, its designed to be easy, have read through the Github page, but there is a some good videos on YouTube for ti as well.
