Permissions for installing Chrome web apps

When trying to install web apps, I’m confronted with the following error:

This Flatpak does not have write access to ~/.local/share/applications and ~/.local/share/icons, so it cannot install or uninstall PWAs.

I’ve given permission to these directories through Flatseal, but I still cannot install webapps and this error still pops up when I try. What is the trick to getting Chrome apps installed? I have a few critical ones that I’d like to have in the launcher.

I figured this out seconds after posting, of course. You need to restart Chrome completely (so kill any background processes as well) before apps can be installed.
