Hi, PEAK crashes on startup when trying to launch on my desktop, showing Unity’s crash handler dialog box, but runs just fine on my Steam Deck, which also runs Bazzite, so that makes me think the issue is something to do with my PC’s configuration.
It only seems to happen with Peak, other Unity games like Stanley Parable Ultra-Deluxe and VRChat run just fine.
I’ve tried running various different Proton versions to no avail, along with both DX12 and Vulkan, also with no luck. I tried rebasing to the testing branch as well. I also tried running the launch commands VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/radeon_icd.x86_64 and PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 %command% with no dice as well.
My desktop has an AMD RX7800XT, and a Ryzen 7 5700x3D. Can anyone help me diagnose the issue? I’ve attached a log from Proton, as well as Peak’s player.log.
Below are two relevant logs, one from Unity (player.log) and one from Proton (steam-3527290.log)
