No menu sound in gaming mode after Steam Client update!

After the last Steam Client update in gaming mode, the menu sound in gaming mode no longer works. After Decky broke and I repaired it using uJust Decky, I noticed that the sound is completely missing. However, when I start a game, the sound works normally. Unfortunately, I’m not very familiar with the whole Universal-Blue universe, and the rpm-ostree rollback didn’t work either. Thanks in advance!

Make sure the volume for steam is turned up to 100% while on the desktop. You can get steam to play sound via any video on the store.

“Hi, I checked and noticed that Steam (Desktop) was muted for some reason. Then I booted into Gaming Mode and had no sound. So I went into the settings, and the default audio was set to External Device? Bluetooth is off, so what is ‘External’? I switched to speakers, and now there’s sound. Why is the default set to External, and what is External Device?”

“I found the problem in desktop mode, although no sound issue was detectable. I still had a look, and while the speakers were set as the default device, there were several Pro Audio devices listed below. After clicking around a bit, the Pro Audio option disappeared, and once I switched back to Gaming Mode, everything worked fine again. I have no idea why this happened, as I never changed any audio settings, and the last time I used a docking station or Bluetooth audio was quite some time ago. But I’m glad everything is working again!”
