Since this morning, my audio input devices are detected 1 time out of 2 when my machine starts up.
It’s very unstable and I’ve also noticed that ptyxis has been replaced by the simple terminal. Am I the only one having these problems?
ptyxis was renamed to terminal and given a generic icon vs. the older green icon. My understanding was this was done to avoid confusion when onboarding some new users.
As for the audio problems I hadn’t seen this yet. I looked through the recent issues and didn’t find a direct mention of it from my searches.
Which build(desktop/steam deck/rog/etc) are you using and what sort of audio interfaces are not getting detected?
The terminal replacement is from Fedora calling Ptyxis “Terminal” and using a stock icon instead of the green one. No idea about the sound though, sorry!
I use the desktop version.
But I suspect my motherboard is the cause of my audio device problems.
