Yesterday I installed Bazzite (Nvidia KDE) on my gaming pc. The install process went very smoothly. When I logged in for the first time, I was greeted with the bazzite portal, and it helped me install all the programs that I needed. Afterwards, I performed a system update. When I restarted my PC, as soon as I logged in, the desktop showed up for a few seconds, and then my monitor entered a cycle of turning off and turning back on, and from the notification sounds I could hear that something is being constantly connected and disconnected in a never ending cycle. I was able to resolve this by rolling back the update.
Is this caused by the nvidia drivers or the kernel update? Or is this a wayland issue? Did anyone came across this problem and resolved it without rolling back the updates? Any help would be appreciated.
Here are the specs of my PC:
- Nvidia RTX 3060ti GPU
- Intel Core i5 11400F CPU
- Asus Prime B560M-K motherboard
- Samsung Odyssey G5 Monitor (connected through displayport)
